Advent Changes

As winter approaches I wish you comfort and joy that abides with you through the sorrow and darker times.

I took a break from the newsletter and ‘blog’ in October and November. I recognized changes in the works. I’m not sure what form this newsletter and workshop impulse will take in 2024.

I’m grateful for the correspondence, visits in the workshop, and any enjoyment you have received from these monthly missives over the past few years.

I remain available for spiritual direction, and you remain invited to visit and give new skills a try. I’d suggest building a wood candle-holder, or a little stained glass night-light.

And you know I’ve got some trees you could plant!

As some of you know, I’ve been working with the Rev. John Creasy, of Garfield Community Farm and the Open Door, on a new ministry.

We propose to accompany and equip  congregations, other communities and individuals in practicing their faith through practical land restoration work and desiring contemplative growth.

 I invite you to visit:

In December we will begin weekly blog posts about the 8 themes of restorative spirituality we will explore with groups in a series of experiential learning sessions.

These themes and sessions become entry points into the work to dream, discern and design restoration projects. Along the way we hope to witness the integration of ecological awareness and care into everyday christian practice.

Please sign up in the newsletter slot on the website above to receive these.

May you receive hope beyond hope this Advent,

and Joy to sustain your hearts wherever they must be

as we celebrate Christmas with all creation.
